As we were coming into our fifth year of business in March this year, with our fourth being the most successful to date, we decided that we wanted to raise the Company profile through a sponsorship deal with a local rider.

The season has now finished and Michael achieved eighth in the overall standings following a crash at Cadwell Park which left him out of the top six Title Fighters.

Here is an article from November’s Shropshire Review ….

Superbikes race ace all geared up for new season

Bridgnorth biker Michael Rutter is hoping to end the year on a high when he competes in the final race of the season in Hong Kong.

The 39-year-old is bidding for a podium position in Macau after being left unable to compete in the British Superbikes Showdown when he was injured in a crash at Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire this summer.

But the determined rider, who has been racing Superbikes since 1989 is hungry for success and believes support from all his sponsors, including ‘Employers’ Aide’, could be a winning formula.

Managing director Glennis Toms of the Bridgnorth-based company said she was looking at ways of expanding local operations at the company and was keen to raise the profile of the firm and its brand.

He said: “A British Superbike racing star, with Bridgnorth and Black Country connections, seemed the obvious choice.

“British Superbike meetings attract attendance of as much as 40,000 plus over a race weekend and have British EuroSport TV and ITV4 coverage watched by millions.

“We started discussions with Michael last winter and had sealed the deal for sponsorship with our logo on his racing helmet in plenty of time for the start of this season.

“He really could not have done more professionally to ensure that we were happy with the presentation/location of our logo and has genuinely been a pleasure to work with.

“We have enjoyed terrific personal experiences, and opportunities for the company profile, and would not hesitate to sponsor Michael again.”

Michael, who is the son of seven-times Isle of Man TT winner Tony Rutter, said he was disappointed at losing out in August but is hopeful of a seventh win in Macau.

“The Macau race is a circular race around the city. It is a 15 lap race over about three and a half miles in very hot and humid conditions but were are looking forward to it.”

Alongside Employers Aide, Michael is also seeking further sponsorship for next season. He says: “We’ve got a few options for next year to either run with the same team or I’m keen to run my own team for the 2012 BSB series which we’re talking to sponsors about now”.

Anyone who is interested in sponsoring Michael can contact him on 07850 740 313.
